Pediatric sleep train

The basic principles that we should keep in mind for every child in order to observe children’s sleep hygiene :

1.The bedroom should be quiet and dark.
2.Sleeping and waking up every night should be at a certain time, and the time difference between weeknights and weekends should not be more than one hour.
3.TV and computer should not be in the bedroom.
4.The bedroom should not be a place to punish a child.

5.Children should have bedtime routines every night, such as bathing, putting on pajamas, brushing their teeth, reading a book, and saying good night.
6.Using computer games and watching TV, drinking tea and coffee and playing exciting games before going to bed is prohibited.
7.The child’s daily naps should be in the early afternoon (preferably between 1 and 3 pm).
8.Exposure to light in the morning and reducing exposure to light in the afternoon.
9.Infants should be placed in their bed in a drowsy but awake state so that they have a continuous sleep throughout the night.
10.Avoid physical contact such as holding hands, shaking, lullabying and any dependence on parents at the beginning of sleep, the child should learn self-soothing methods for sleep.
